Duane Budach, 75

Duane D. Budach was born Aug. 31, 1934, in Minnesota Lake. He was born to eternal life on May 9, 2010, at age 75. He moved to Sheboygan, Wis., in 1952 to attend Lakeland College and Mission House Seminary. In 1954, he left school to serve in the Army. He served in Korea and Japan. In 1956, he returned to Lakeland College to finish his education. In 1958, he married Mary Loving and settled in Silver Creek, Wis. He was pastor of three United Church of Christ churches in Beechwood, Boltonville and Silver Creek. He later moved to Waverly, Iowa, and was pastor at Peace United Church of Christ. He left the ministry in 1967 and returned to Sheboygan to work for Heritage Mutual Insurance until he retired.  In 1980, he married Audrey DeKoning which ended in divorce in 1997.
He is survived by his former wife and friend, Mary Loving, and their children, Steven S. Budach (Sue), Robert J. Budach (Anne) and Dawn E. Lant (Steve). He has five grandchildren, Brooke and Jameson Lant, Scott, Nicole and Kimberly Budach. He is further survived by his sister, Norma Schneider; sisters-in-law; Janice and Kathryn Budach; many nieces and nephews and good friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, two brothers and a sister.
He leaves with these words, “There are many things I should have done differently, but when I think about my early life on the farm, my parents, brothers, sisters, their children, my children, my grandchildren and friends, I realize that I am greatly blessed.”
