Motorists will encounter a detour on Minnesota Highway 13 beginning June 7. Crews will start with culvert replacement work, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

The detour route will be Freeborn County Road 14 to County Road 20 to County Road 31 and back to Highway 13

The detour will be in place until June 18, weather permitting.

The culvert replacement work is part of a larger resurfacing project on Highway 13 from Interstate 90 to Highway 30. The resurfacing work will begin in August 2010.

Ulland Brothers Inc. is the prime contractor for the $4 million project, expected to be completed in October.
