Students of the Albert Lea Northland Karate School competed at the Riceville, Iowa Open Tournament. Jacob Moffitt took second place in forms, first place in breaking and third place in sparring.

Tristian Bangert took first place in forms and was grand champion. Bangert also took second in sparring. Kassi Hardies took fourth in forms, second in breaking and second in sparring. Katherine Sime placed second in forms, second in breaking and second in sparring.
