Nominations sought for outstanding senior citizens

Nominations for county residents are being sought for the 2010 Outstanding Senior Citizen of Freeborn County. This program is sponsored by the Freeborn County Agricultural Society and the Minnesota Board on Aging.
Both a man and a woman who are 70 years of age by June 1 will be selected because of their outstanding community involvement. They will be honored at the Freeborn County Fair on Wednesday, Aug. 4. Nominees must be a residence of Freeborn County and judging will be based on all contributions made to their community after the age of 65.
People wishing to make nominations can obtain official nomination forms from the Albert Lea Senior Center (Skyline Plaza, 1739 W. Main St.), Senior Resources of Freeborn County (Skyline Plaza, 1659 W. Main St.) or the Freeborn County Fair office on the fairgrounds. Forms can also be obtained from Chairman Roger Lonning (507-391-0345).
Nomination forms must be submitted to the Freeborn County Fair Office, Attn: OSC, Box 128, Albert Lea, MN 56007. The deadline for nominations is June 25.
