I would like to express my appreciation for the Relay for Life column back on March 18, 2010. This event is very important, not only to the survivors and their families, but also to the community.

I personally have been on a team for the last couple years and everyone has a great time raising money for this cause. Being a part of a team is rewarding. You see how our hard work pay soff and makes a difference. It is amazing to see all of the support of the people that attend

this. It lets you realize just how cancer affects everyone and the determination they have to find a cure.

As an active participant in the Relay, I would encourage anyone else interested to help join in on the event. Every cent helps someone. Lets break the record again and save lives. Help people win the fight against cancer. Give them hope.
