The Albert Lea girls’ golf team broke out of its 399 funk, but couldn’t find the consistent scores necessary to compete with Mankato West and Owatonna Tuesday at Wedgewood Cove Golf Club in Albert Lea.
The Tigers shot 387 and finished behind the Scarlets, who won with a 351 and the Huskies, who shot 353.
Megan Pulley led Albert Lea with a 92, Taylor Nelson shot 94, Morgan Field 97 and Erin Brick 104.
“It’s the story of two nines,” said Tigers head coach Shawn Riebe. “Had we taken our best nine hole score we would have been right in contention.”
