The Albert Lea girls’ track and field team placed third Tuesday at Faribault.

The 4×800-meter relay team of Chrissy Monson, Ashley Tewes, Kelsey Thomas and Sarah Wenum won while Monson won the 3,200 and the 4×400 relay team of Sam Stanley, Alissa Alison, Colleen Thompson and Sarah Wenum won.

Taylor Friehl took second in the long jump and triple jump while Wenum took second in the 800, Sydney Rehnelt second in the 400 and Katie Lucas took second in the discus.
