Delores Ruth (Halseth) Syed, a longtime resident of Hermosa Beach, Los Angeles, Calif., passed away on April 24, 2010, at the age of 76.
She was born in Albert Lea on Oct. 28, 1933, to Adolph and Mae (Peterson) Halseth. She graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1952 and left the Midwest and worked in New York, San Francisco and in 1977 joined Shorewood Realtors in Los Angeles, Calif. She retired in 1999.
She is survived by a brother, Nordean (Barbara) Halseth; sister, Norma Ruud, of Albert Lea, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Adolph and Mae Halseth; and sisters: Eunice Wichmann, Lorraine Groff, Helen Mallory, Clarine and Mildred Halseth; brothers-in-law: George Wichmann Jr., Marvin Groff and Larry Mallory.
A celebration of life and sharing was held on May 13 in Redondo Beach, Calif. Arrangements are pending for a graveside memorial service at Clarks Grove Baptist Cemetery.
