Nick Fure struck out 18 batters and went 2-for-2 as USC’s legion baseball team beat Lake-CrystalWellcome-Memorial 8-1 Monday night.

Fure consistently hit 85 mph with his fastball as he took a no hitter into the sixth inning and ended up throwing a complete game of two-hit ball.

Spencer Niebiur led the team offensively going 2-for-3 with three RBIs. Dustin Dylla went 2-for-4 and Anthony Stenzel went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Mitch Kelly took the loss for L-C-W-M, giving up eight hits and five earned runs.
