The Albert Lea Knights 12AA team played in the 2010 Minnesota USSSA State Championship in Brooklyn Park on June 12-13. Albert Lea went 3-0 in pool play beating Osseo Maple Grove White 10-8, Osseo Maple Grove Blue 11-1, and Andover 12-2. The perfect record in Pool Play gave the Knights the right to play for the State Title. A determined Knights team came out swinging and scored 7 runs in the bottom of the first inning. Albert Lea scored 4 more in the 2nd and cruised to an 11-5 USSSA State Championship 1st place finish over Andover. he win gave the Knights a berth in the USSSA 12AA World Series in Lenexa, Kansas July 18-25.
