Nancy VanderWaerdt, State Farm agent, and the State Farm Companies Foundation recently made a donation to the National Vitality Center.
“I’m very pleased to be able to present the funds to the National Vitality Center to be used for projects this summer,” said VanderWaerdt.
VanderWaerdt’s donation was made possible through State Farm Companies Foundation’s Good Neighbor Grant Program. The grant was made on behalf of Vanderwaerdt because of her participation in last year’s Blue Zone’s project, especially the walking moai initiative.“We are very grateful for the donation from the State Farm Foundation for our summer initiatives. It is our hope that many other businesses in Albert Lea will follow State Farm’s lead and support the opening and sustainability of the National Vitality Center,” said Pat Garbisch, National Vitality Center coordinator. “We believe the center is integral to keeping last year’s Blue Zones Vitality Project momentum going, so we can continue to promote healthier lifestyles and longevity for the citizens our community.”
