Man reportedly assaulted

A man was reportedly assaulted while walking in Albert Lea late Wednesday night or early this morning, according to police reports. Reports state the man came to the Freeborn County Law Enforcement Center at 3:19 a.m. today to report the assault. He had blood coming from his mouth and forehead and was transported to Rochester for his injuries, according to police.
His wallet was also taken.
No other information was available as of press time.
Damage reported
Property was reported damaged on the 16000 block of 650th Avenue in Alden at 8:27 p.m. Wednesday, according to Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office reports. Reports indicated wood was also stolen.
Bar fight reported
Dispatchers received a call of a bar fight at Southside Pub, 1119 S. Broadway Ave., at 10:52 p.m. Wednesday, according to police reports. A man was reportedly throwing chairs in the bar, and the caller stated the man might have had a knife.
When police arrived at the bar, everyone involved with the fight had left; however, there was damage visible inside the bar.
