A report from the Albert Lea Police Department said a “10-year-old girl with possible back, neck or head injury (was) taken out the pool on a backboard and transported.”

The time listed for this incident was 5:29 p.m. Friday and took place at the City Pool.

Possible check fraud reported

Michelle Marie Vanriper, 31, no address listed, was arrested by Albert Lea police at noon Saturday for cashing a check reportedly based on the bank account of a deceased person at a North Bridge Avenue business.
