Card chairwoman, Frances Kycek-Swenson, sent cards to those who were ill.
The lodge extends its sympathy to the families of Betty Belshan and Irene Brown. A memorial will be sent to the WFLA scholarship Fund in their memory.
New members were welcomed: Harry Hansen, Clifford Reichl, Bonita Kral and David Frank.
Krikava urged those interested to enter the WFLA Photo Contest. Entries are due Aug. 31.
The WFLA Education and Charitable Foundation will offer a cookbook for purchase in 2011, as a fundraiser for scholarships for members. Recipes must be submitted by Sept. 30.
The committee for the old Wooden Hall monument showed pictures to members of several types of monuments we could erect. Lodge members decided to give the committee authority to choose the monument and have it installed, with the permission of the present landowner, Dayton Rayman.
Letters were sent to local members, reminding them of the meeting. There were 30 members present.
The electric company will install a pole and automatic yardlight on the lodge hall property.
Door prizes were won by Dennis Rayman and Marie Krikava.
