Interstate 90 in Mower County will be reduced to single-lane traffic by today.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) announced last week that motorists traveling westbound on I-90 between Mower County Road 19 and Highway 16 can expect single-lane traffic through the end of August.

The project is intended to touch up the westbound lane of traffic and will include the resurfacing of the shoulders and all exit ramps within the project limits.

“It shouldn’t be too inconvenient for motorists,” said MnDOT spokeswoman Kristin Kammueller.

MnDOT is urging drivers to proceed with caution and drive slow in the work zones.
