Daniel Gulbrandson, 26

Funeral services for Daniel Gregory Gulbrandson of Minneapolis will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the East Freeborn Lutheran Church. The Rev. Matthew Griggs will officiate. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 4 until 7 p.m. at the Bonnerup Funeral Service, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the East Freeborn Lutheran Cemetery.
Daniel died Friday, July 16, 2010, in Minneapolis as the result of an accidental drowning.
Daniel was born June 13, 1984, in Albert Lea, the son of Gregory and Vicki (Krejci) Gulbrandson. He graduated from Albert Lea High School in 2003, Riverland Community College in 2005 and Minnesota State University Mankato in 2008 with a degree in business management.
Daniel was baptized Aug. 26, 1984, by the Rev. J. Andrew Holey and confirmed May 7, 2000, by the Rev. David Hernes at the East Freeborn Lutheran Church. Daniel was employed by the Hy-Vee stores in Albert Lea and Mankato from 1999 through 2007. After graduation from colleage he was employed by Walgreens in the St Paul area on the management team.
Daniel enjoyed photography, music and concerts and loved to travel. His senior year of college he made a spring break trip to Rome, Italy, with faculty and students.
He will always be remembered for his friendly nature and was always loyal to family and friends.
Daniel is survived by his parents: Gregory and Vicki Gulbrandson of Albert Lea; grandmother, Alice Gulbrandson of Albert Lea; aunts and uncles: Gary (Shelley) Gulbrandson of Glenville, Jim (Mary) Gulbrandson of Albert Lea, John (Denise) Gulbrandson of Albert Lea, Frank (Brenda) Fell of Meriden, Mark (Karen) Thoen of Blooming Prairie, James (Diane) Krejci of Blooming Prairie, and Nancy Krejci of Rochester. He is also survived by numerous cousins.
Daniel was preceded in death by his grandfather, Howard Gulbrandson; grandparents: Victor and Elvera Krejci.
Daniel will be sadly missed by his loving family and many friends.
