Donna Huper, 84

Donna Mae Huper, 84, of Wells, passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2010, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Wells. Visitation will be today from 4 to 7 p.m. at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. The Rev. Kathy Fullarton will officiate and burial will be in the Rosehill Cemetery in Wells.
Donna was born Aug. 24, 1925, in Wells, the daughter of Charles and Tillie (Biesterfeld) Hitzemann. On June 6, 1943, she married the love of her life, Alfred Louis Huper in Wells.
Donna will be missed and is survived by a son, John L. (wife Judy Larson) Huper of Owatonna; a daughter, Judith Mae (husband Roger) Huper-Bennetts of Woodstock, Ill.; three grandchildren: Tammy (Jon) Morowitz of Columbia, Mo., Angela Huper of East Hampton, N.Y., and Casey Huper of Savage; three great-grandchildren: Mason Morowitz, Hunter Morowitz, Jackson Gary Huper-Spizzirri; brother-in-law, Willard (wife Marvel) Huper; nieces and nephews: Fran Gaskins of Indianapolis, Ind., Cass and Diane Peloza of Nashville, Ten., Richard and Connie Hitzemann of Milwaukie, Ore., Beverly Sylvar of Janesville, Steve (wife Kim) Huper of Wells and Tom (wife Angela) Huper of Wells. She will also be missed by her sassy cat, Holly and her special friends and bingo buddies: Shirley, Shelley, Deb, Tracy, Al, Pam, Brian, Karen and many more.
She was preceded in death by her husband Alfred in 1984; son, Gary Huper and his wife Patricia; sister, Ardis Peloza; brother, Garfield Hitzemann; two sisters-law: Connie Hitzemann and Adeline Niebuhr; two brothers-in-law: Cass Peloza and Reuben Niebuhr; two nephews: Danny and his son Cory Huper.
