Have you heard about what is going on at the library? The “Friends of the Library” have sponsored (paid for) magicians, the Mall of America traveling aquarium show, the Zoo Man, and many other fabulous activities. They have also provided all the paints and supplies for the Art Zone, an incredibly creative outlet for the kids in our community.

The Albert Lea Library has always been one of Albert Lea’s treasures, but it seems like every year they outdo themselves in programming, book selections, and service toward their patrons.

As a mom, I want to say thank you to the library for all their support. My kids ask to go to the library almost daily so they can get the next great book, attend the learning activities, and most importantly see the librarians who greet the children by name and take time to get to know them as individuals. To heck with “All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten”; at our house it is “All I need to know I learned at the library.”
