Mary Lou Campbell, age 89, peacefully passed away on July 21, 2010, in Brainerd.
A celebration of life for Mary Lou will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Brainerd followed by a “Sharing of Memories” at Brenny Funeral Home in Baxter from 12:30 to 4 p.m.
Mary Lou was born in Marceline, Mo., on Jan. 6, 1921 — one of 11 children.
She married Marvin Campbell on Jan. 31, 1946, spending 60 years together raising 12 children in Crookston, then moving to Brainerd in 1971.
Mary Lou loved life, especially her wonderful children and their families; along with 26 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
She will be best remembered for her fun love of fashion and entertaining, always enjoying “scrumptious” food, “gorgeous” flowers and surroundings, friends, travel, sharing good news and talking about her family.
Mary Lou is blessed to be survived by one brother, two sisters and her 12 children which includes Collette and Dick Turcotte, grandchildren Zach (Aimee) Turcotte, Brione (Shaun) Thompson and their children.
Mary Lou was preceded in death by her loving husband Marvin, a granddaughter Leah and eight brothers and sisters.
The family appreciates memorials in lieu of flowers.
Mary Lou, mom, grandma will be dearly missed by everyone who shared time with her — defining her as a “classy lady.”
As I pass, it warms my heart to know I leave behind a family so full of love and goodness!
