His employment was mainly driving lumberyard and gravel trucks. He moved to the Upper Peninsula in 1987 to help care for his in-laws, Willard “Bunk” and Bessie. He was also known as the “neighborhood watch force,” as he sat in his red truck (office) with his cell phone in hand. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Surviving are his wife of 35 1/2 years, Mary Margaret (Harlan) Peterson; two sisters: Beverly Head and Marlene (Robert) McDonald, both of Albert Lea; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Delores Hughes; brothers-in-law: Art Hughes and Robert Head; and a nephew Scott Head.
