Albert Lea area organizations and residents donated about $4,000 to the 2010 Legion Legacy Run, American Legion Leo Carey Post 56 Adjutant Arnie Mulso said Wednesday.

The riders, who ranged in age from their 20s to veterans of World War II, left Indianapolis Sunday and were in route to Milwaukee for the national American Legion convention.

The ride covered more than 1,400 in an attempt to raise money for children of fallen soldiers.
