Ryan and Jessica Barnick of Waconia anounce the birth of a son, Roman Jeffery Barnick, on July 15, 2010. Roman weighed 6 pounds 6 ounces and was 18 inches long.

Grandparents are Doug and Diane Wichmann of rural Alden and Jeff and Cheri Thofson of Alden. Great-grandparents are Muriel Gries of Albert Lea, David and Marlene Thompson of Hayward, Bessie Barnick of Wells and Meloid Thofson of Hartland.

Jordan and Patricia Flatness, 505 High St., Albert Lea, announce the birth of a son, Riley Wayne Flatness, on Aug. 2, 2010, at Albert Lea Medical Center. Riley weighed 7 pounds 14 ounces.

Grandparents are James and Frances Swenson, Margaret Flatness and the late Wayne Flatness. Great-grandparents are Alice Kycek, Arlene Johnson and Glenn Flatness.
