The primary election this year is a month earlier than in previous election years. We want to remind you that Tuesday is the day of the primary election.

Polls at most locations will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., though in some townships the polls are open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Moving up the primary was a good decision by state leaders, but it still comes in the middle of a busy summer. We, like many others, favor moving it to June.

Nonetheless, the more participation we can get in elections, the better.
