A TV station in Lexington, Ky., is reporting this morning that a man from Faribault County in Minnesota is in critical condition following a crash between a motorcycle and a car.

Todd Duit, 41, is a Faribault County sheriff’s deputy.

The TV station quotes a witness, who said a car Tuesday swerved out of control and crashed into a concrete wall. Then two motorcyclists sought to miss the car. One motorcyclist, Duit, “lost control and was thrown from his bike,” the TV station reports.

He had not been wearing a helmet. He was flown to University of Kentucky Hospital.

The driver of the car also sustained injuries.

The Tribune left a message this morning for Faribault County Sheriff Mike Gormley seeking a comment.
