Lacy Mader of Monticello is pictured here with Vikki Jenkins of the Freeborn County Humane Society. Mader had heard about the situation of the Humane Society not being able to add on to the shelter and wanted to do something to help out. Her dad, Jeff, built her a lemonade stand, and she sold lemonade for one day and raised a little over $206, which she brought to the Humane Society Aug. 4 to present personally.
