Freeborn County Relay for Life organizers announced Thursday they have decided to move into their rain plan for the Friday night relay.
“With the weather forecast we feel that it would be a disservice to our survivors if we didn’t put this plan into action,” said one of the organizers, Nikki Schumaker.
The relay will be moving indoors at the Freeborn County Fairgrounds.
Opening ceremonies, entertainment, seating and the silent auction will be in the Swine Building.
In the arena, kiddie corner from the Swine Building, will be the Garden of Hope and the luminaries.
In the Cattle Building, directly behind the Swine Building, will be the kiddie carnival, team sales and additional seating.
Teams can turn in money at the 4-H Office.
A tent will be sent up with food, including Jake’s Pizza, between the swine and cattle buildings. Bruno’s will be positioned next to them. Casa’s and Blondies will be in their usual spots further down in the fairgrounds.
Camping will be on Machinery Hill, and parking will be in the west lot off of Richway Drive.
