Raymond John Dowd of Hollywood, Fla., died unexpectedly Monday, Aug. 2, 2010, in Florida. He was 60 years of age. He was born July 28, 1950, the son of Robert and Mary Dowd in Albert Lea.

Ray worked for American Airlines in Florida and had served his country in the U.S. Army.

Ray is survived by his wife, Janetta; parents, Robert and Mary Dowd; sisters: Linda (Jim) Norgard, Karen (Craig) Westrum, Pamela Dowd, Donna (Daryl) Waltz; one brother, Virgil (Cindy) Dowd; aunt, uncles and cousins also survive.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
