The Save 2nd Base Committee recently made a donation to Naeve Health Care Foundation’s “Project Pink.”

“Project Pink” is NHCF’s, Naeve Hospital Auxiliary and Albert Lea Medical Center’s fund-raising campaign to purchase new state-of-the-art full-field digital mammography equipment for the medical center.

The committee’s donation of $10,000 is from their Save 2nd Base Fund-raiser, which is held annually in June in Wells, to help raise awareness and funds for breast cancer. The fund-raiser is in its third year and will be held again on June 18, 2011.

“If it wasn’t for my husband, Donnie, and family, Kevin Klocek; Carey Thorson; Kim and Tyler Shea; Chad, Angie, Caitlyn and Colby Klocek; and all our friends, the volunteers and everyone else the fund-raiser would not have been such a success,” says Pam Klocek, Save 2nd Base Committee Member.
