United Methodist fall activities

The United Methodist Fall Activities Schedule begins on Wednesday, Sept. 8. There will be a kick-off potluck salad and bring your own sandwich for everyone participating in the music programs at UMC. The potluck will begin at 5:30 p.m. followed a meeting with the Tower Ringers and rehearsals for the Praise Team and Chancel Choir. The regular schedule for the Wednesday will be as follows:
- 3:30 to 5 p.m. Kids for Christ grades K-6 combining Bible Study, choir and crafts. (Begins Sept. 15)
- 5:05 to 5:40 p.m. Youth Handbells Grades 3-8 (Begins September 15)
- 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Praise Team Singers High School age through adult
- 5:45 to 6:45 p.m. Tower Ringers High School age through adult
- 7 to 8 p.m. Chancel Choir High School age through adult
Confirmation Classes for grades 7 and 8 begin on Sept. 8 at 6:30 pm. Parents should come to this first session.
The fall worship schedule begins on Sunday, Sept. 12. “Sunday Morning Alive” service at 8:30 a.m. Faithbuilders Sunday School will begin with Rally Sunday at 9:30 a.m. for 3-year-olds through adult, followed by “Traditional Worship” Service at 10:45 a.m.
There are two opportunities for Bible study on Mondays led by Pastor Tom Biatek. The Noon Brown Bag Bible Study from noon until 1 p.m. is a study of the scripture lessons for the upcoming Sunday morning. Beginning Sept. 13, at 6:30 p.m. there will be a six-week Bible study on the Book of John. No registration is needed for these classes.
A new member class will be held on Sunday, Sept. 26, at 7 p.m. for anyone interested in becoming a member at United Methodist.
The alpha series will begin on Thursday, Sept. 30. Please call the church office to register for this Bible study.
