Four people may have been injured in an accident at 8:46 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Sorensen Road (County Road 45) and U.S. Highway 65 northeast of Albert Lea. This accident involved a 1992 Buck LeSabre and a 2008 Jeep in what the Minnesota State Patrol said was a broadside collision.

A spokesman at the Albert Lea Fire Department confirmed that personnel were called to the accident scene to extract one person from a vehicle.

Additional information regarding the names of the four people involved in this accident is scheduled to be released at a later time by the Minnesota State Patrol.

Assisting at the accident scene was the Albert Lea Police Department and Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office.
