Dave and Becky Ausen of Alden and the Rev. Dan and Nancy Metzger of Philadelphia, announce the engagement of their children, Melissa Kimberly Ausen and Thomas Benjamin Metzger.

Melissa is a 2003 graduate of Alden-Conger High School and a 2007 graduate of Bethany Lutheran College. She is employed at H.G. Fenton as a leasing manager in San Diego.

Thomas is a 2001 graduate of Minnesota Valley Lutheran School and a 2006 graduate of Bethany Lutheran College. He is employed at J.P. Morgan-Chase as an investment manager of San Diego.

A wedding is planned for Oct. 30 at the United Methodist Church in Albert Lea.
