Jeanne Johnson, 74, Albert Lea

Memorial services for Jeanne Louise Johnson of Albert Lea, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 20, 2010, at St. Theodore Catholic Church. The Rev. James Berning and Deacon Mike Ellis will officiate. Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Bonnerup Funeral Service, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in St. Theodore Cemetery.

Johnson died Thursday evening at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester; she was 74 years of age.

Jeanne was born June 10, 1936, in Brockton, Iowa, the daughter of Daniel and Estelle (Wisdom) Connor. She was raised in Geneva, and graduated from Ellendale High School. On March 25, 1977, she was united in marriage to Lloyd Johnson at the First Lutheran Church.

Jeanne had been employed by the Chesapeake Bay and Potomac Telephone in Washington, D.C. for 10 years and by Northwestern Bell in Owatonna. Most recently she had worked for Interstate Power in Albert Lea. Jeanne also was the owner of Jeanne’s Janitorial Service in Albert Lea for five years. In her free time, Jeanne enjoyed tutoring for the Community Education Program, serving lunches for the children at St. Theodore Catholic School, working with the American Cancer Society and the prayer chain at St. Theodore Catholic Church where she had been a member for many years. She also loved to read and go for walks.

Jeanne is survived by her husband Lloyd of Albert Lea, son Daniel and his wife Shannon Johnson, step children; Lloyd Johnson Jr., Mary Ann Peryer, Lorraine Green, Jeannine Olson, Paul (Michelle) Johnson and Susan (Laine) Ladlie. Grandchildren include; Logan, Aubry, Christine, Catherine, David, Joe, Jennifer, Preston, Timothy, Brandi, Holly, Joy, Ryan, Monica, Emily, Carissa, Judd, Garret, Bryanna, Claire and Carley. Many great grandchildren also survive. One sister; Marcey (Orville) Lang and one brother Paul Connor also survive.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents.
