Lake Mills wins, clinches share of 7th straight NIC title

LAKE MILLS, Iowa — The Lake Mills Bulldogs volleyball team beat West Hancock Tuesday 3-0, winning 25-11, 25-12 and 25-12, and clinch at least a share of their seventh straight North Iowa Conference championship.
Micah Peters led the Bulldogs (22-1) with six aces, going 18-for-19 serving, while Haley Matthews had three aces.
Amanda Lampman and Lindy Pins had nine kills each. and Morgan Fjelsted had 26 assists with three digs.
“Our middle hitters had a very good night with 18 kills and we were 21-of-24 attacking,” Lake Mills head coach Jim Boehmer said. “It was a very solid night.”
Lake Mills is in action again Saturday at a tournament in Garrigan, Iowa.
