Man arrested for possession

Police arrested Omar Hernandez Sanchez, 22, no address listed, for a probation violation after he reportedly came into the Freeborn County Government Center Monday morning for a probation check-in, was asked for a urine analysis and then fled. He was arrested at 1100 S. Broadway Ave. He faces charges of fifth-degree drug possession, among others.

Windshield broken

A windshield was reported broken out of a vehicle at 217 E. Second St. at 11:44 p.m. Monday, according to reports.

Man passes counterfeit bill

A man reportedly attempted to pass a fake $100 bill at the Gopher Stop in Clarks Grove, 309 E. Main St., just before 2 p.m. Monday, according to police reports. Reports did not indicate if anyone was arrested.

Box missing

A large box was reported stolen from the back of a truck at 80486 Turtle Creek Road, Hollandale at 3:14 p.m. Monday, according to Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office reports.

Two injured in accident

Cally J. Conley, 25, Albert Lea, and Barry A. Simonson, 41, Emmons, were treated and released for injuries sustained in a two vehicle collision at 5 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of U.S. Highway 69 and County Road 17 (the Conger road).

Assisting the Minnesota State Patrol at the accident scene were the Albert Lea Police Department and Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office.
