Freeborn County Chapter Leaders: Sharon Olson, Nacny Ver Hey, Marlene Thompson, Joyce Fredin, Dave Olson, Ginner Boettcher, Bethann Kroeger and Radley Miler, financial representative, presented Imogene Odahl, chapter director of American Red Cross a check for $1,250 direct funding for tornado assistance from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.
The Freeborn County Chapter Leaders along with the Freeborn County Chapter Lutheran Churches participated in collecting $5,275 for Freeborn County tornado assistance. It was distributed to Alden Area Food Shelf, American Red Cross and Salvation Army. Due to the large amount contributed, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans donated a total of $2,500 through Care Abounds in Communities and regional funds. Therefore totoal funding of $7,775 was raised for Freeborn County tornado disaster relief.
