The United South Central girls’ tennis looked to notch another conference win on Monday as they traveled to Sherburn for a match with Martin Country West.

The Rebels had no problems with MCW as they claimed a 6-1 win.

“This is another good conference win for us,” USC head coach Kim Stevermer said. “ This win advanced us to 3-0 in the conference. The girls played well.”

In singles action, USC got wins from Ali Ramsley, Rachel Mattick, Robin Staloch and Claire Christian to sweep the singles portion of the match.

“ The singles are making a lot of great shots and playing smart tennis,” Stevermer said. “ Rachel Mattick (No. 2 singles) has only let her opponents get five games off of her from the last four matches.”

In doubles, USC took two of three with MCW claiming one match.

“The one doubles duo of Cami Christian and Brianna Schroeder continue to dominate and take control of their match right away,” Stevermer said. “ They are also 7-0 in regular dual play.”

The Rebels, now 7-0 and 3-0 in conference, will host Fairmont on Tuesday in Wells.
