Where is the outrage over federal debt?

Thomas Jefferson, one of our most brilliant presidents, said, “My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government.”
Most of us have heard the frog story where if you put him in hot water, he jumps out, but if you put him in luke-warm water and gradually increase the temperature, you will soon be eating frog legs. I believe most of us have been like the frog in warm water. We have been watching government, both state and federal, continue to grow and not paid much attention to the cost. Soon there will be more government employees than those in the private sector, and how will the private sector pay enough in taxes to support the government bureaucracy?
Recently, our Congressman Tim Walz voted for a bill that cost $26 billion. Minnesota will receive $430 million to save 2,300 jobs. That means it cost $186,000 per job saved and what happens the following year? Will property taxes have to be raised to save those jobs or will our federal debt again be increased by another $26 billion? Where is the outrage when this happens? How are our children and grandchildren going to pay for this? It is time to hold Congress accountable for this.
