The Glenville-Emmons Wolverines had a hiccup in the second set against the Grand Meadow Superlarks Thursday, but won 25-18, 17-25, 25-17 and 25-15.
“In the second game we were totally flat,” Glenville-Emmons head coach Lisa Ziebell said. “But we took charge in the last game and went out there and played like we should have.”
As a team, the Wolverines (6-4) served 84-for-87 — 97 percent — with 10 aces.
Kailey Davis led the team, going 21-for-21 from the service stripe with 28 digs, five kills, three ace assists and two ace blocks.
Emily Belshan matched Davis serve for serve, also going 21-for-21, while adding six ace serves and three ace blocks.
Robin Roe was 16-for-16 serving with three aces and Kalli Van Ryswyk was 11-for-12 serving with an ace and 13 kills.
Alayna Hall added nine kills with 16 digs, and Nisha Davis chipped in 11 digs.
Senior setter, Devin Cooper, led the team with 15 ace assists.
“(Cooper) got a lot of help tonight,” Ziebell said. “Everyone kind of played everywhere.”
The Wolverines take the court again on Monday as they travel to Hope Lutheran.
