On Sunday afternoon 12 women pilots, members of Minnesota Chapter of 99s, met in a hangar at the Albert Lea Municipal Airport. The chapter encompasses the entire state of Minnesota, and several towns were represented.
The International 99s were organized in 1929 by a group of 99 women pilots, with Amelia Earhart as their first president.
The meeting was chaired by Patti Sandusky of Maple Lake and assisted by Elaine Morrow of Delano.
