Big Island Rendezvous: What better way to celebrate Minnesota history than to tour with elementary students through the Big Island Rendezvous? Tour guides are needed to ensure that the classes get to their appointed area on schedule. Orientation is at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 28, at Bancroft Bay in Albert Lea. You can decide to guide students on either Sept. 30 or Oct. 1 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Help one day or two and get free admission to the weekend event. Call 377-7433 and ask for Stumme to register.

Brownie Scouts: Have fun helping another scout leader to provide scouting activities after school for second and third grade girls. The schedule is yours to determine — once or twice a month, perhaps. Or offer just one afternoon to demonstrate a skill or craft you know about for scouts of any age.
