911 system working again

The Freeborn County Law Enforcement Center this Saturday evening had problems with the Emergency 911 system, primarily in the Glenville area.

However, around 10:30 p.m., the system was working again.

Authorities reported that a fiber-optic line was severed. They alerted Glenville residents of an alternate number for people to use in case of an emergency: 507-448-3916. It is the number for the Glenville Fire Hall.

Other areas were thought to be affected, too. If people in Albert Lea could not reach the dispatch center, they were advised to call 507-377-5215.

Again, all E-911 lines are functioning properly now.
