The Albert Lea High School bands will present their first concert of the year on Thursday.

The concert, which starts at 7 p.m. in the ALHS auditorium, will feature four selections by the Albert Lea concert band as well as three numbers by the combined Tiger and symphonic bands.

Highlighted will be three new band works published in 2010 by composers Michael Sweeney, John Stevens and Randall Standridge.

Tickets for the concert are $7 for adults and $5 for seniors and students and are available at the door. There will also be a $35 family music concert pass sold at the door that will admit a family to all regular orchestra, band and choir concerts for the whole year.
