Brown bashed by big spenders

I have been seeing a great deal of negative literature floating about regarding our state representative, Robin Brown. What I have seen comes from a group listed as Coalition of Minnesota PAC from St. Paul. The complaint is that Robin voted to raise income taxes. If one looks closely, the increase she voted for was only on those individuals making above $250,000 per year and this action would have returned this group of taxpayers back to equity with the rest of us.
Don’t be fooled. These ads are coming from big spenders. The funding for these negative mailings came from the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce (it gave $150,000 to the group) and several insurance companies. In total, it looks like this group spent about $264,000 on negative ads like those I’ve seen.
Robin Brown is a positive leader and has voted to protect our environment, obtained the funding to finish the clean up of Edgewater Park, funded sewer projects for small communities that couldn’t afford them on their own, worked hard to protect our rural cities from further cuts in aid and, by the way, received an award from the city of Albert Lea for her efforts. She passed legislation protecting our nursing homes and programs for seniors and introduced legislation to equalize education funding statewide.
Her opponent may have catchy slogans, but we need an experienced, tested leader to represent us in St Paul. Please join my family and I in voting for Robin Brown in District 27A on Nov. 2.
