• Spicer reportedly attempted to break into a residence at 307 Willamor Road on Oct. 5.

Court documents state a screen from a window in the back of the house had been removed. A neighbor testified that a woman had been seen getting out of a car and prowling in the area.

Documents state Spicer initially denied having attempted to burglarize the home, but after being told there was a witness, she reportedly admitted to police she had attempted to break-in to the house but was unable to find an easy way in.

A smeared handprint was reportedly found on the window.

• Spicer reportedly broke a bathroom window at 1117 Richway Drive to gain access to this house on Sept. 25.

She allegedly used a few items in the backyard to make a step for her to gain access to the home. A muddy shoe print was found on the toilet near the window, and Vicodin was reported missing.

• Spicer reportedly broke into 1117 Richway Drive a second time on Oct. 2. This time, Spicer reportedly kicked open the back door to gain access.

Court documents state Spicer reportedly admitted she had entered this house twice, once through a door and once through a window, because after she found Vicodin the first time, she thought the homeowners might have more a second time.

She told police she had been friends with the residents of the house.

• Spicer reportedly broke into 1818 Brookside Drive on Sept. 24 by kicking in the door.

Officers found a couple of footprints near the center of the door made by a smaller tennis shoe.

On Oct. 7, a detective met with Spicer in the Freeborn County jail, where she reportedly admitted to breaking into multiple homes in search of Vicodin.

Regarding this specific residence, she said she didn’t remember the exact date  she broke into the home, but noted that she did so in search of medication.

She reportedly knew the homeowner from work and church.

• Spicer reportedly broke into 23916 700th Ave. by breaking a window in the basement. Medications were also missing.

Court documents state Spicer initially denied any burglary of this residence; however, when shown a picture of the house on Oct. 10, she reportedly admitted to breaking into it. She said she took some pills but couldn’t remember what kind they were.

This incident was reported Oct. 9.

• Spicer reportedly broke into a residence at 716 Third Ave. through a basement window and screen door.

Court documents state Spicer told police she had broken into the house in search of medication.

When she found out there wasn’t any medication in the house, she left.

The victim in this case also reported to police that she had known Spicer from church.

Spicer faces a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine for each second-degree burglary charge.

She remains in the Freeborn County jail on bail of $20,000 without conditions and $10,000 with conditions for each of the 10 charges.
