Gentz hired as AL boys’ track and field coach

Albert Lea Area Schools, upon the approval of the school board, hired Kevin Gentz as their head boys’ track and field coach, according to a press release issued Wednesday by Albert Lea activities director Clay Anderson.
Gentz — a math teacher at Albert Lea High School — has been assistant coach for the team for the past two seasons.
Prior to coming to Albert Lea, Gentz was the head boys’ track and field coach at Cannon Valley Lutheran High School from 2003-08 and assistant boys’ track and field coach at Northfield High School from 2000-01.
Gentz is succeeding Lisa Deyak who stepped down from the position after the spring season.
