If your children are constantly doing things that would bring harm to themselves or others, you must constantly correct them. Most of the time that means telling them no. In your children’s eyes, you are the party of NO! Likewise when the liberals/progressives/socialists in the Democratic Party want to enact legislation that will bring harm to others and the economy, conservatives in the Republican Party must be adults and say NO! Being the party of NO is a good thing when the other party is going in the wrong direction!

If you are heading in the wrong direction when you are driving your car, the prudent thing to do is to put it in reverse, turn around and get back heading in the right direction. You don’t keep driving in the wrong direction. When you are heading our economy in the wrong direction as the liberals/progressives/socialists in the Democratic Party have been doing these last four years, making a U-turn is not regressing but is merely a course correction, so we can get back on track and head in the right direction.

The Bush administration and the Republicans and Democrats in Congress tried to govern with liberal economic policies and did drive the economy into the ditch. However when the liberals/progressives/socialists of the Democratic party took control of the federal government in 2008, they merely stepped on the accelerator and tried to drive the economy over the cliff. We need to get the adults (conservatives) back in charge if we want this country headed in the right direction. What we need is lower taxes and less regulation to get the government out of the way and off the backs of the job creators and producers of this country.
