“The time is now!”
Rich Murray’s slogan as a candidate for House District 27A fits him to a tee.
It is the perfect time for him to give in to one of his passions, that of serving this area as a Minnesota state representative.
He and his wife, Sandy, have lived in Albert Lea for 27 years, where they raised a family and where he is self-employed as a financial adviser.
But it’s his background that makes him a real part of this area. Rich has lived on a farm where they milked cows and raised hogs. He was a 10-year 4-H member. At Mankato State he earned a business degree and later earned his MBA at St. Thomas. Rich is a veteran of the United States Army.
Few can compare to Rich in community service. To list just a few, he served on the following: Salvation Army board, Naeve Foundation board, Albert Lea Technical College Foundation board, United Way campaign chairman, United Way board and president, Big Island Rendezvous executive committee, Exchange Club, YMCA executive board, chairman of the Freebom County Republicans for four years and is active at the First Presbyterian Church.
It was at his church on the Sunday before he needed to file for this office that he asked parishioners to come into a room with him to pray that he was making the right decision.
Rich will never stop working for the people in this community and will make good choices in St. Paul. He believes that spending at the state level must be prioritized because we cannot continue to fund unlimited programs and services.
On Nov. 2, vote for Rich Murray for House District 27A.
