“Abby Crabtree had a strong finish,”NRHEG coach Mike Weber said. “ She fought off some good runners at the end of her race to finish near her best seasonal time and be All-Conference for her third straight year.”

Following Crabtree, Katharine Lewer recorded a time of 17:42 to take a 29th place finish.

“Katharine Lewer was only a few places out of honorable mention in the conference,” Weber said. “ She took off a half minute of her best time.”

Shantaya Olson finished 17 seconds behind Lewer to take 33rd place.

Missy Malakowsky recorded a time of 18:49 to finish 51st, while Emily Habeck finished 10 seconds later and finished in 52nd place.

Destinee Meyer clocked a time of 19:24 to finish 57th, while Crytal Olson finished in 19:38 to take 60th.

“Team-wise, this was what we were hoping could happen for the girls,” Weber said. “You want to run your best in the postseason, and that is exactly what they did.”

The NRHEG boys’ finished in 10th place at the meet and they were led by ninth grader TJ Schiltz.

Schiltz finished in 13th place with a time of 18:02 to earn all-conference honors.

“ TJ Schiltz had one of his better starts of the year,” Weber said. “ He impressed us and didn’t let it go to waste. TJ ran smart, confident and focused – to take an All-Conference trophy home with him. He really matured as a runner today.”

The next four Panther runners all finished within 38 seconds of each other.
