The Rock does wonders for kids

I cannot say enough positive things about Youth for Christ’s The Rock! As a teenager I was involved with the weekly meetings, the leadership and a Bible study hosted by one of the secretaries, Max Bachtle. Not only did I grow in my faith and felt connected, but I knew I was special to the staff at The Rock and that they were all rooting for me to succeed in my walk with Christ and in life in general. I think every teen who goes to The Rock thinks that they are the special/favorite one!
Today, when I am asked about a hero in the faith, I talk about Max. Weekly she provided breakfast for a group of teen girls as we studied the Bible before going to school. Her sacrifice and love for us was and is a wonderful model for me.
My husband, three children and I are serving as missionaries in Guatemala where we have been for 10 years. I know without a doubt that what I learned from everyone at The Rock and the models that they have been for me has helped mold me into what I am today, and the fact that I am serving others full-time.
I pray The Rock always has the strong support of the community, financially and with volunteer time and prayers. What they are doing for the youth in Albert Lea and the surrounding areas is incalculable!
