William Pressly Sr., 66, Belvidere, Ill.

William “Bill” Raymond Pressly Sr., of Belvidere, Ill., formerly of Grand Rapids and Albert Lea, died Sunday, Oct. 24, 2010, in his home. He was born July 20, 1944, in Osceola, Iowa, son of Lester James and Blanche (Laney) Pressly. Bill proudly served our country during the Vietnam War, worked as a truck driver most of his life and was a member of the American Legion in Albert Lea. He enjoyed racing and was an avid NASCAR fan.
Survivors include his son, William R. Pressly Jr., of Jackson; daughter, Deborah Lynn (Kevin) Anthofer, of Ankeny, Iowa; four grandchildren; brothers: Steve (Gretchen) Horan of Belvidere and Richard (Cass) Pressly of Abbeville, S.C.; sister, Peg Castle, of Bovey; and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents and sister, Joan Moore.
